Collect website feedback with Snootl browser extensions

Use Snootl on websites where the embedded widget is not installed yet. The browser extension opens the same contextual feedback workflow on staging sites, protected environments, and websites your team cannot modify directly.

Choose the browser you use on the Snootl extensions page, where you can install the Chrome or Firefox version.

Install the extension

1. Open the official Snootl listing for your browser.
2. Select the browser's install button, then confirm the requested permissions.
3. Pin Snootl from the browser extensions menu so it stays available in the toolbar.
4. Open the extension and sign in with your Snootl account.
5. Visit the website you want to review and select the Snootl icon.

The extension is installed per browser profile. Team members who need to submit feedback from the extension should install it in their own Chrome profile and sign in with their own Snootl account.

Connect the website to a project

After signing in, choose the workspace and project that should receive feedback from the current website. Snootl uses the active page domain to help you select the correct environment without embedding a script in that website.

Once connected, open the extension on any page in the same review environment, select the relevant element, add a clear comment, and submit the report.

Send context developers can use

An extension report can include the page URL, selected DOM element, screenshot, visual annotations, attachments, browser and operating-system details, screen and viewport sizes, and optional console diagnostics. The report becomes a Snootl task with the same status, priority, assignee, due date, comments, and activity workflow as feedback submitted through the embedded widget.

Extension or embedded widget?

Use the extension when the reviewer is part of your Snootl workspace and can install a browser extension. Use the embedded widget when clients or visitors need to leave feedback directly on a connected website without installing anything. WordPress teams can also use the official Snootl plugin to add and control the widget without editing the active theme.
